Ron Peterson B.Bus CA - Director

Ron commenced at Harden East & Conti in February 1979 and undertook his Bachelor of Business degree at the Western Australian Institute of Technology (now Curtin University) between 1979 and 1983. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985 and became a Partner at Harden East & Conti on the 1^st July 1986.

Ron's interests include his family, the Fremantle Dockers, most sports and he has a particularly keen interest in horse racing.

Ron specialises in providing Australian taxation planning and compliance advice as well as general business management advice, including assistance in the area of succession planning.

Emma Marshall B.Com CA - Director

Emma joined Harden East & Conti in 2000 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2003. She became a Partner of the Practice in July 2024.

Emma provides accounting and taxation services to trading and investment businesses of varying sizes including advice on all aspects of income tax, fringe benefits tax and GST. Emma is also highly experienced in the area of self managed superannuation fund compliance.

Simon Read B.Com CA - Director

Simon joined Harden East & Conti in 1990 and upon completion of his university degree and later qualification as a Chartered Accountant was promoted to become a Partner of the practice in 2000.

Simon is able to draw upon his extensive taxation, business management and superannuation compliance knowledge to assist his clients in achieving their business goals in a tax effective manner.

In 2018 Simon was selected as 1 of 300 Western Australian batonbearers who were chosen to represent their local community in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay.

Steven Robinson B.Com CA - Director

Steven commenced at Harden East & Conti in 1998 on a part-time basis whilst completing his Bachelor of Commerce Degree at Curtin University. Upon attaining his degree in 2003, Steven went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant in 2005 and became a Partner of Harden East & Conti in 2016.

Steven specialises in providing services in all areas of business management, financial reporting and taxation compliance, including related tax planning and structuring advice.

Daniel Peterson B.Com JD FTI CA - Director

Daniel joined Harden East & Conti in 2011 whilst undertaking his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Curtin University, which he ultimately completed with distinction. He has also since completed a Juris Doctor in law at the University of Western Australia, where he was awarded the R.K. O’Connor QC Taxation Law Prize, and the John Hockley Prize in Succession Law.

Daniel attained membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2015, and was admitted as a Fellow of The Tax Institute in 2018. He became a Partner of Harden East & Conti in July 2024.

Daniel has a broad range of experience in providing accounting and taxation advisory services to both business and high net worth clients, and specialises in assisting with technical taxation matters and ATO dealings.

Greg Cochrane B.Bus CA - Consultant

Greg joined the practice as a trainee in 1977 and after completing his Bachelor of Business degree on a part time basis at Curtin University, went on to join the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1985. He became a partner in 1986, and transitioned to a consultancy role upon his retirement from partnership in 2019.

With the provision of accounting, taxation, business advice and related tax planning services Greg has assisted many family businesses through several generations of the succession cycle.
